Bojangles - ****URGENT COMPLAINT **** 1909 North Church Street Burlington NC... - Image 2

October 4, 2025

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from the Bojangles location at 1909 North Church Street in Burlington, North Carolina. On October 4, 2025, I placed an order through DoorDash that included a 100-count chicken Bo-Bites, four apple crisps, two sweet potato pies with icing, six Bo-Berry biscuits with extra icing, and house-made ranch dressing.

The total cost of this order before tip was $117.52, and after including tip and delivery fees, the total came to approximately $133.49.

Upon receiving my order, I discovered several issues. The sweet potato pies were completely missing, and the icingwhich I specifically requested and paid an upcharge forwas not applied. The four apple crisps I ordered were also missing, and instead, I received four Bo-Berry biscuits, which are less expensive. The six Bo-Berry biscuits did not have the extra icing as requested, nor did the four substituted Bo-Berry biscuits that replaced the apple crisps.

The house-made ranch dressing, which is a key dipping sauce for the Bo-Bites, was also missing.

If the staff had at least applied extra icing to the four replacement biscuits, I could have somewhat understood their logic in substituting the crisps, but that was not done either. These repeated errors, especially for an order of this size and cost, demonstrate a lack of care and attention to detail.

The customer service I received afterward was equally disappointing. It took me four separate attempts to reach someone at the restaurant, as my first three calls were answered and immediately hung up on. When I finally got through, the woman who answeredwhose name I could not understand because she mumbledspoke to me in a dismissive and unprofessional tone.

Rather than offering to resolve the issue, she told me she would give me what she thought was right, despite the DoorDash redelivery status clearly outlining what was already prepaid and owed. Not only is that response unprofessional, but it is unethical to profit from items that were paid for but never fulfilled. To make matters worse, she cut me off mid-sentence and hung up the phone, which is completely disrespectful and unacceptable under any circumstance.

I contacted DoorDash support following this call, and they offered to redeliver the entire order. However, when I followed up with the restaurant, I was informed that the apple crisps were out of stock and that no refund or full remake would be provided.

Instead, they would only send the missing pies and ranch and considered the matter closed. After the redelivery, the order was still incorrect. I received only two Bo-Berry biscuits instead of four apple crisps, two ranch cups for 100 Bo-Bites, and two sweet potato piesagain without icing. I know from experience that the pies must be taken out of their boxes and placed into styrofoam containers for icing to be applied, and since I order them this way regularly, this clearly shows that proper preparation was simply ignored.

This entire experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially given the size and cost of my order.

It was clearly intended for a gathering, and not having essential items made everything far more inconvenient.

The lack of care, poor communication, and unprofessional service reflect a serious disregard for customer satisfaction.

I have already informed DoorDash of these issues and suggested they review their partnership with this location, as it appears the staff is not properly trained to handle customer service or fulfill orders accurately. I am requesting a full refund for the missing and incorrect items and ask that this matter be addressed to ensure other customers do not experience the same treatment.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Alyssa Thompson

Agree. The Bo-bites at $83 were delivered with no issue and the order total was $127 not $133.

(The discount has no return cash value). So it is unethical to ask for a FULL refund.

I went to the restaurant last night and ordered a 12 piece family meal with 3 fixins and when I got home I was fixing my plate and noticed that my mashed potatoes had powder still in it. I then tried to stir it up and more powder showed up so I took it back to the store and watched them put hot water in it stir it up and give it to me. When I got back home and looked at it again it still had powder in it so I called the restaurant back and noone wanted to talk to me and yes I did take pictures

  • - Ordered a 20pc meal for 93-year birthday; 30-minute wait promised.
  • - Chicken and biscuits were not fresh; replacement offered at 2:00, but I left.

2/1/26 I ordered a 20pc meal for my 93 year birthday my grandson ordered it for me. They told him it would be 30minute wait so with that being said, I was good with the wait assuming the chicken would be fresh cooked, but it seems as though it was cooked the day before and the biscuits were not fresh either.

So I did go and talked with Tawanna and she said she would replace the chicken and biscuits so we agreed on the time,2:00 today so I was about 20 minutes early and she said that the cook was just dropping the chicken.

I told her I dont mind waiting for it, but she told the lady in the front if she had it up there she could just use that but I told her I would wait for the fresh chicken. Was waiting in the dining area for a little while, the lady called me up and said she was filling in the chicken she had up front but I just told her I would wait for fresh chicken then she said that the cook hadnt started it and didnt act like he was going to so I told her never mind and I left without my food This is my #803960****

It sounds like you left out of spite to illustrate "who's boss" and now regret it. You don't get to act like an animal then demand compensation. On paper, the incident looks like the order was filled.

My order wasn't right. I asked for Bo Bites with mashed potatoes; they gave me fries.

I went back to tell them I wanted mashed potatoes. Some he/she, whatever it was, came to the window with his smart mouth, which was uncalled for. The soda tasted like syrup. I will never visit that store ever again.

My daughter used to work there when she was 16, and it's even worse now. But I will get in contact with a manager when I get off work tonight and show them this food.

  • - Ordered an eight-piece family meal with two large sides and a biscuit; the chicken was burnt, dark, and dry, like refried and not fresh.

Today is January 19, 2026, and I ordered an eight-piece family meal with two large sides and a biscuit. My chicken was burnt, dark, and dry.

I have been a chef for over 25 years, and I know what good chicken looks like, and that's not it. It was dark underneath the skin, like they tried to refry the chicken and sell it to me as fresh chicken. I have been working all day for over 14 hours, and I came home, and I did not feel like cooking.

I trusted your company to provide me with a great meal, and the chicken was awful. I don't know who tried to sell me pre-cooked chicken, but I am very upset, and I will email again if I'm not compensated for this meal.

Terrible Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Winston-Salem Bojangles customer service is horrible.
  • - Shortages and long waits; dry chicken and a weed-smelling manager; refunds not issued.

Customer Service is HORRIBLE! It does not matter which store I go into here in Winston-Salem, They are all terrible.

If it is not the weed you smell when you go into the restaurant, you run into disgruntled employees who do not mind letting you (as a customer) know they do not want to be there, neither do they care for their job. I have not been into a Bojangles in 3 years. First, I went to one on MLK and was greeted by the auto-voice. (Nice addition).

I order 1 breast, pack of BBQ sauce, and a bottle of water. However, a voice came over the AV and said, Sorry, we have no breast. So, I asked for a 2-piece. Response: We only have wings.

I asked for a 6-piece number...I waited for 3 minutes; there was no response. I just pulled off and went to Popeyes around the corner.

The next time I went was because my wife wanted Bojangles. Reluctantly, I went. Why???

I ordered the same thing...breast, bbq and water. The first breast was dryer than sand. The second one was worse. Also, the manager at came in smelling like weed.

He said he would get me another piece. I told him; I would rather not, you have been outside smoking weed. His reply, I wasn't smoking. I said; well sir, you were out there with the employee smoking.

His reply, I don't have anything to do with that. Nevertheless, he went behind the counter; never wash one hand...holding the red lighter in one hand and picked my chick up...I did not want it. Especially, when I looked at it and it was DRY! After an argument-yes ARGUMENT with a little child...she was an adult...but to me she was a child...I never received my chicken (after waiting for 1 hour) plus this child called the police on me.

What an experience!

I bought an old chicken breast, returned it, and never had it replaced, neither did I get my money back. Bojangles is at it again...nasty, and hateful customer service.

FYI: the manager who was on duty, recognized that I had worked at Bojangles. I told her, If you know I worked for Bojangles, then you know had you been my employee, you would have been clocked out and sent home, also you would have been documented and recommended for termination placed on DO NOT REHIRE. She claimed "That's how all y'all (I'm guessing customers) are.

I said, ma'am, I am in customer service. This is when she commented that she knew I had worked for Bojangles. I feel I am DONE with Bojangles. If I had the time, I would send in an application, get hired, and request to go to Store 527 (whatever the Store # is) It is Northwest Blvd, I would wait until this manager comes in, then send her home and replaced her with a qualified team member who values their position and care for the customer.

This lady definitely does not care for the Bojangles Brand nor the customers. When Benjamin Boyed-area mgr/operation mgr, Daniel and myself was there along with a team who valued their jobs...Bojangles-New Walkertown Road, we took that store from 23k to 54k in 6 months. They leveled out with making 45-48k wkly. It is called treating the customer RIGHT.

But with the people who are being hired, The Bojangles here in Winston-Salem will continuously have the lowest sanitation grades along with the lowest profit margins anywhere.

I guarantee the other areas are laughing and using Winston Salem market as examples of how NOT to operate a store. It is just horrible!!!

Wrong orders many times and horrible customer service at Corporate Office

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Order: 2 BEC, Cajun Filet, large dirty rice, fries; received 1 steak biscuit.
  • - Filed BBB complaint; resolved via card refund; plan to publicize.

I placed an order at their 20 Raiford Dr. Concord, NC location.

I ordered 2 BEC biscuits, a Cajun Filet biscuit, a large dirty rice, and fries. I got a single steak biscuit. I tried to reason and work it out with the corporate office but only got nowhere and was bullied, so I filed a complaint with the BBB, and this is their cowardly response. Since they refused to refund me, I disputed the charge with my credit card and got my refund that way!

Here is their reply: I am rejecting this response because: unbelievable to say the least! You can most certainly process a refund if you want to! Who did I purchase the food from? Bojangles.

Who prepared the food? Bojangles. Who packed the order in a sealed Bojangles bag? A careless Bojangles employee who was not paying attention to what they were doing.

Who delivered the order in a sealed bag? Uber Eats. So, if you do not mind, please explain to me and anyone reading this with the least amount of common sense how this is Uber Eats' fault and why should they refund something that is clearly not their fault? But hey, that is just fine.

After reading your reply and seeing how much you really do not care about your former customers, I simply picked up the phone and called my credit card company, made them aware of the problem and how you neglected to take care of the mistake that was clearly 100% Bojangles' fault, and they were shocked to see the helpless reply you sent. They refunded the full amount of the order, charged Bojangles back, and blocked Bojangles from any attempted chargebacks. Not only did you lose a very loyal customer, but you also lost money, and now you have this very bad complaint that will stay on your company's record for a long time and I as well will blast this all over any website I can to let the public know how badly Bojangles really does treat people. I hope this makes you feel good by trying to intimidate and push people around but bullying them and not doing the right thing!

I can only hope something like this happens to you and no one is willing to help you out and just wants to screw someone out of money when it costs you nothing! You really need to learn how to treat people and how real customer service works! Best of luck because it is certain you will need all the help you can get! In closing, I have a very good friend who handles consumer affairs like this in the Charlotte, NC area and I have spoken with him and he said he would love to air this on television and that is going to be my next step in doing so in front of your corporate office located at 500 Forrest Pointe Circle, Charlotte, NC 28273, and hopefully, we will be able to have Mr.

Jose Armario available to speak. Have a wonderful day!

All the third party sites that deliver food (Uber, Doordash, Grubhub etc) are the ones to call for any order issues. They have your money and are responsible for any refunds. That’s just the way it is set up.
